The AW139 is a 7 tons class helicopter, designed and produced by Agusta Westland, the Anglo-Italian helicopter company owned by Italy’s Finmeccanica.
Designed with inherent multi-role capability and flexibility of operation, the AW139 is capable of carrying up to 15 passengers at very high speed, in a spacious and comfortable cabin.

Our Air Management System product line supplies the Cabin Air Conditioning System using a Vapour Cycle System. The compressors are installed in the engine compartment and are powering a two zones cabin and cockpit air cooling system. In cold conditions, a heating system fed by air bled on the engines is providing comfortable air to the passengers. Liebherr is supplying all components of the system including heat exchangers, valves, controller, and cockpit panel to select the temperature to be supplied automatically for the passengers' best comfort. Liebherr is also supplying the AW139 cabin and cockpit air distribution which includes ducts, valves, fans, diffusers and gaspers.
Our Landing Gear Systems product line supplies the complete Landing Gear System of the AW139. This includes everything from the Landing Gear control panel with the lever installed in the cockpit up to the wheels and brakes installed on the retractable Landing Gear Legs. The Liebherr responsibility covers also the Landing Gear extension and retraction system with actuators and hydraulic valve as well as position switches.
