Liebherr has established itself as one of the world's leading system suppliers to the aerospace industry. The Aerospace product field develops and manufactures flight control and actuation systems, landing gears and air management systems. These systems are found on board many aircraft: Wide-bodied aircraft, commuter aircraft, regional jets, business jets, military aircraft and helicopters. The customers include nearly every well-known aircraft manufacturer. Liebherr-Aerospace offers extensive customer services based on a worldwide network with repair and maintenance services, technical support, documentation and spare parts logistics.
Supplier to the rail industry
The Transportation Systems product field offers a wide range of highly integrated systems and components to train manufacturers and operators: The heating, ventilation and airconditioning systems, actuation systems and electronic components from Liebherr are used in high-speed trains, long-distance trains, commuter trains, metro trains, subway trains and busses.
Sites of the Aerospace and Transportation Systems division
The Liebherr Aerospace and Transportation Systems division has five production sites for aerospace systems in Lindenberg (Germany), Toulouse (France), Guaratinguetá (Brazil), Nizhny Novgorod (Russia) and Changsha (P.R. China). In the area of transportation systems the division operates three production sites in Korneuburg (Austria), Radinovo (Bulgaria) and Zhuji (P.R. China). These production sites are augmented by a worldwide sales and service network.
The division controlling company is Liebherr-Aerospace & Transportation SAS in Toulouse (France) which coordinates all activities in the area of aerospace and transportation systems.
